“How did you come up with the name Funny Farm?”
We hear it all the time and honestly, the name chose us. With 11 kids, 2 grandkids, a revolving door of critters, and a home filled with noise, laughter, and love, calling this place anything but Funny Farm just wouldn’t make sense. Our life is messy, joyful, chaotic, and incredibly full and we wouldn’t trade it for anything.
For years we ran at the pace of busy careers, tight schedules, and constant motion. Eventually, we realized we were craving something slower, something deeper, something rooted. We wanted the same things every family longs for: nourishing food, meaningful community, and a healthier way of living. So we took a leap of faith. We stepped away from our long-standing careers in education and contracting and began feeding our family with intention.
