"How did you come up with the name Funny Farm?"

We hear it all the time. With 11 kids, 2 grandkids, and a revolving door of critters, calling this place anything but Funny Farm wouldn't make sense. Our life is messy, joyful, chaotic, and incredibly full and we wouldn't trade it for anything.

For years we ran at the pace of busy careers and tight schedules. Eventually, we realized we were craving something slower, something rooted. We wanted what every family longs for: nourishing food, meaningful community, and a healthier way of living. So we took a leap of faith, stepped away from our careers in education and contracting, and began feeding our family with intention.

At Sanders Funny Farm, we have one simple goal: help households replace grocery store spending with food that feels like home, while making sure small farms can thrive through consistent community support.
